London and Beyond

For me, airports have always felt like the gateway to the world. They hold the key to distant travel and to uniting people from all over the globe. Love and travel have always been words which have had a strong association in my vocabulary. I guess this is why I was instantly drawn to this lovely wedding.

Kelly is originally from Malaysia and Scott is from Scotland and food and travel are their joint passions. They fell in love six years ago while studying at Cambridge University.

"Being a Scottish-Malaysian couple, it is fair to say that our taste buds have gone into overdrive! For us food and travel go hand in hand and as we both suffer from 'itchy-feet' syndrome, we travel as often as we can...enjoying lots of delicious food along the way"

Kelly and Scott are celebrating their wedding in two parts in two different countries. Part one was a small, family-only wedding day registration ceremony in London. Part two will be a big celebration with all of their friends and family in Malaysia next July. "We decided to have a low key wedding registration in London. The registration and wedding lunch was kept to family-only and we invited a small group of relatives and friends who are based around London to join us for a Chinese dinner afterwards. Saying our own vows in front of our families was defiantly the most magical moment of the day. It was very personal and emotional and made the registration process feel less functional and more meaningful to us. Sharing that with our families made our day really special".

Instead of having a photographer present for the entire day, the couple decided to have a longer portrait session around London and in their home.  Their portraits were beautifully captured by Marianne Taylor. Her gorgeous photography allows us a glimpse into the love and life of this beautiful couple in their home in London. A big thank you to Kelly, Scott and Marianne for sharing this lovely day with me.
